ABOUT

Latifa El Hachem

Latifa El Hachem is a Lebanese artist and product designer whose life and art are testaments to resilience and the transformative power of creativity. Married at 17 and widowed seven years later during the Lebanese war, Latifa faced the daunting task of raising two daughters with no income.

Driven by determination, she balanced multiple jobs with her studies, ultimately graduating in Art Plastic and later from the École des Beaux-Arts – La Rochelle, France. After several years as an administrator, Latifa courageously embraced her true calling, establishing her atelier, Latifa-Art, in 2002. Initially focusing on the interplay of form and life within pewter, she expanded her artistic exploration to include painting on wood, glass, and canvas.

Inspired by beauty, history, and daily experiences, Latifa’s work spans diverse themes, including abstract, landscape, human, and religious subjects. She strives to capture the essence of a moment, inviting viewers to connect with her art on an emotional level and interpret it through their unique lens.
