Artist Statement
From my earliest childhood, art has been my constant companion. I remember drawing on anything I could find – paper scraps, discarded fabric, even wood and glass. It was an innate need, a way of expressing myself that felt as natural as breathing. This passion, with a deep love for classical music and painting – universal languages that speak to the soul – led me to pursue my formal art education, culminating in my graduation in Art Plastic in 1996. Life, however, presented its challenges.
Becoming a widow at a young age with two daughters to raise could have derailed my artistic journey. But my faith, combined with a resilient spirit, allowed me to persevere.
Art is more than just creation; it’s a testament to the human spirit’s ability to overcome adversity. My work, in its diverse forms and mediums, reflects this journey and seeks to bring life and beauty into the lives of those who experience it.
